Ergonomics Solutions for an Aging Workforce Certification

This Level II workshop will provide enhanced skills for performing specialized ergonomics job assessments using quantifiable evaluation tools. With a specific focus on the aging workforce you will learn the differences between and uses of various evaluation tools, practical techniques for choosing cost effective solutions and methods to compile concise client reports. Additional topics included are specific to healthcare professionals, office markets and manual material handling job sites.

Objectives
At the completion of this course, the learner will:
  • Have an enhanced understanding of the injury and rehabilitation process of the persistent injury.
  • Examine the facets of the aging workforce and ways to address these concerns for ALL workers.
  • Expand knowledge base on issues for the Material Handler and manufacturing worker.
  • Participate in group evaluations of selected industrial work situations.
  • Experience and use selected samples of evaluation tools.
  • Discuss issues involving Job Performance during shift work and sleep deprivation.
  • Understand and experience a "Job/Process/Task Hazard Analysis" project.
  • Be updated on healthcare & office ergonomics.
  • Learn Basics for an "ERGO Leader" program.

About Certification
The workshop certifies that you are able to perform specialized ergonomics job assessments using quantifiable evaluation tools. After completing the written post-test you will be awarded your certification designating you as a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist II (CEAS II™).

Continuing Education Units
Most professionals receive the standard 1/10 of a unit per contact hour. This workshop is approved for 1.5 CEUs in most states.

Fourteen-day Advanced Purchase Price $436.00
Regular Purchase Price $485.00

Policies
Tuition is refundable less 50.00 if canceled 14 days before the workshop date. Tuition is not refundable under any circumstance, for registrations or cancellations after the 14 days has expired. However, you may have someone attend in your place or attend at another date. You may only change workshop dates or locations two times, then tuition will be forfeited. The Back School of Atlanta cannot be responsible for nonrefundable travel expenses, etc. should it become necessary to cancel a workshop. Replacement course certificates fee: $25.00. Locations/Accommodations: Most workshops are held at a local medical facility. We rarely have enough out of town participants to meet the minimum required to block rooms and get a group rate; however, we will provide a list of hotels and phone numbers that are in the area. The Back School of Atlanta cannot be responsible for nonrefundable travel expenses.
